Roblox recently changed how younger players access games. If your child taps Play on Buzzy Creators Hive and sees a message that the game is not available for their account, you can give them access in a few minutes from your own phone. Here is exactly how.
Why this happens
Roblox now sorts younger players into age-based accounts (Roblox Kids for ages 5 to 8, Roblox Select for ages 9 to 15). By default these accounts only see games inside their age band. Buzzy Creators Hive is safe and made for kids, but you, as the parent, need to add it to your child's allowed games one time. After that they can play whenever they like.
What you will need (about 10 minutes)
- Your own phone or computer
- Your child's Roblox login (or your child nearby on their device)
- A way to confirm you are an adult: a quick selfie age scan, a photo of ID, or a credit card
Step 1: Set up your parent account
- On your own phone, open the Roblox app (or go to roblox.com) and sign in, or create an account using your real adult date of birth.
- Go to Settings, then Parental Controls, and confirm you are 18 or older using the selfie age scan, ID, or credit card. This is what unlocks parent powers on your account.
Step 2: Link to your child's account
The easiest way is from your child's device:
- On your child's device, open Roblox and go to Settings, then Parental Controls.
- Choose Add a parent and enter your email address.
- Confirm the link from your email. Your child's account will now appear in your parent dashboard.
Step 3: Make sure your child has done their age check
- On your child's account, open Settings, then Parental Controls or the age prompt if shown.
- Have your child complete the quick selfie age check using their real age. This step is what lets them be added to games above the default Kids list. Without it, chat and many games stay switched off.
Step 4: Approve Buzzy Creators Hive (one tap)
Once the accounts are linked, the easiest way to let your child in is to let them ask:
- Have your child open coplay.buzzy.gg on their device and click the Open Buzzy Creators Hive button.
- Once the Roblox page for Buzzy Creators Hive has loaded, have them click Play.
- Because the game sits outside their default age list, Roblox sends you a request by email.
- Open that email, tap View settings, and choose Allow.
That is it. Your child can play straight away, and stays approved from then on. No searching, no menus.
Still stuck?
- Make sure you completed the adult check in Step 1. The Allowed games controls only appear once your account is confirmed as a parent.
- Make sure the accounts are linked on both sides (you confirmed the email, and your child accepted).
- Game approval works for children up to age 15, which covers the full camp age range.
- Prefer to approve it ahead of time? From your own parent account, go to Content restrictions, then Allowed games, search Buzzy Creators Hive, and add it to the list.
